Caterham 7 rebuild

Recommended Posts

Thought you may like to follow the blog I wrote on the rebuild of my 7 following it's accident on December 17th 2006.

It's on our web site www.FrenchBlat.com

It's a bit long but, I'm told, worth reading.

Started to read it but the rest will have to wait until lunchtime!

I'd say you had a lucky escape, Sevens don't exactly have the best passenger protection.

Cheers

Jon

Done a 'speed read' of your story...blimey it is long...she cried! Very interesting, looks like you put your heart & soul into it, and a hell of a lot of time and patience...well done.

Tim.

Jon, I agree, it could have been much worse. I was not going that fast (compared to my normal speed!) I had realised the road was really greasy as the tail had slipped out a few times.

Tim, the irony is that I went out that day with the sole purpose of getting the tank empty so I could strip the car down to a bare chassis for a proper de-rust and rebuild with the carbon body over the winter.
