Immaculate Elise S2 2001 with 16k miles for sale OFFERS PLEASE!

Recommended Posts

I am looking to move to an Exige for planned road trips so looking to sell my 2001 k series ‘touring’ spec S2 as a result.

Genuinely immaculate with less than 16k miles! A great future investment opportunity.

Full service history and car log. Two keys. Two hoods! Original black and a red one to match the interior. The car comes with a provenance certificate from Lotus Hethel.

Bought from Lotus dealer JCT600 for 17k in 2016. If I had the resource and garage space to keep it then it would stay. Whilst the bodywork and interior are perfect (it has the Lotus PPF protection kit) I am a big believer in mechanical excellence and so earlier this year I had the stock K series engine rebuilt with the upgraded cylinder head and PRRT system fitted at a cost of 2k. RMS did the work and it’s all documented.

If genuinely interested then I can send much more details - looking for genuine offers please.

Hi I am the new owner of your car having bought it from Hendy lotus, I love the car and its my second lotus as I have a 1968 elan. I came across your ad while looking for a radio manual for the clarion. Having looked through the extensive docs that came with the car I didn't see anything about the Prrt or cylinder head rebuild, if you still have the details or anything else that goes with the car please do get in touch, hope your exige plans worked out, regards Steve

Hi Steve

Sincere apologies as I thought I replied to this but it clearly did not upload. Great to hear you have bought my last Elise. I absolutely loved and coveted that car! Its a great one. I would dearly love an Elan to compliment my S3 Elise that I purchased from Hendy! I assume you have the invoice from Rapid Mechanical showing the details of the head gasket work? I have pictures of the work in progress and can send you them (not sure how we can exchange email addresses?). The PRRT was something i had done at Allon White and is a sensible upgrade on the K to prevent thermal shock (I have had three K engined cars). I have a lot of photographs of the car and I keep a car diary to record anything done to my cars and you are welcome to the one I kept for the S2. Great that you got in contact and chuffed its gone to a LDC member! all the best, Jon.

Steve, a photo of the head - there was a very small breach from the original head gasket. The upgraded Lotus approved set was used as a replacement. Rapid Mechanical did a brilliant job and allowed me to see the work in progress - I was extremely happy with their work. Once sorted these K engines are brilliant in my opinion. Regards, Jon
