Sunday Scramble

buy-tickets-logo.jpg

Founded in 2014 the Sunday Scramble began as a ‘cars and coffee’ get together amidst the early stages of our restoration works.

Three years on and the Sunday Scramble is an event of national repute, attracting enthusiasts from across the UK and Europe, offering the opportunity to explore the former RAF Bicester base, the restored wartime buildings and the specialists businesses based here.

Starting with some 100 visitors at the first Scramble, the event has grown significantly with 5,000 visitors gathering at Bicester Heritage for the ‘Drive It Day’ Scramble, April 2017.

Having been off limits to the public for the best part of one hundred years in the hands of the RAF and MOD, historic vehicle owners and enthusiasts can now drive through the gates to this once hidden location and spend a Sunday morning freely exploring the Technical Site, specialists businesses based here and bring their own vehicles to add to the diverse display of machinery that makes this event so spectacular.

Thank you for registering the Lotus Drivers Club for the 7th October Sunday Scramble, tickets are due to go on sale in early August, I will be in touch to let you know when they are available.  When tickets are live your club members will need to do the following when reaching the booking page to obtain their club tickets.

Please share this with your club members when advertising the Scramble.

http://bicesterheritage.co.uk/whaton/sunday-scramble-2/

‘Click on the ‘Enter Promotional Code’ link towards the top of the ‘Tickets’ block on the booking page and input your club discount code ****** .  The club ticket option will then become visible in the list of ticket options for you to select.  Please note, if the Classic Vehicle ticket is purchased instead of the Club Vehicle ticket, there will not be a space allocated in the club parking display area’.

This not only enables them to purchase advance discounted club tickets but allows us to see how many club vehicles to expect when planning the space for your parking display area.  Club tickets sales close at midnight Monday 1st October 2018 and are subject to availability. Your club discount code will be LDCX18 which you can choose to share in whichever way is best for you, either openly on a website, in a newsletter or similar to members or by asking them to request the code direct from you.  As we request a named club representative attending on the day to organise and manage your parking display area, each club and representative might choose a different way to share the code.  You have indicated on your application a maximum of 25 vehicles, if you would like to know how many bookings you have in the run up to the event please contact me.

Clubs attending with 10 vehicles or more may be allocated their own club parking display area.  If this number is not achieved, and we are unable to provide a display parking area we will advise affected clubs after the ticket cut-off date of Monday 1st October 2018 to give time for them to pass this on to their club members.

Clubs are welcome to use flags and gazebos to promote themselves within their club display area but will need to make sure that they have their own insurance to cover any damage caused should any of these items fall or blow over.  If you wish to do this, we will require a copy of your insurance and a risk assessment.

We appreciate your club supporting this event and hope that your club members have an enjoyable day here.

Best regards

Elaine

Eddie, just to be clear what's the deal for passengers?

Can they come along on an LDC ticket (discounted) or do they need for themselves a pedestrian ticket (adult) - not discounted by the looks of it using the LDC code?

Website says all adults attending need a ticket  - I wouldn't want to add to any delay getting into BH by having an incorrect ticket for Lucinda (or me) if we choose to bring only one set of Lotus wheels...
