Jim Clark was arguably the greatest F1 driver of his era and the best Lotus F1 driver except for maybe Senna. Where was Clark killed? Hockenheim and when was he killed, April 1968. I have counted on my fingers (I have many) and make next year the 50th anniversary.
Hockenheim historic racing event has been held for many years largely due to the high esteem Clark was regarded around the world. Next year's historic will be very special being the 50th and we can expect many hundred's of Loti and thousands of fans. You could be one, very simply!
www.hockenheim-historic.de has all the information including entry tickets (45 euro for a weekend pass) and nearby hotels. May I suggest if you are tempted book soon as there is likely to be great demand.
As an aside, I will be racing at the event, so I will be there racing in Lotus Cup Europe. If you need any more info please feel free to contact me and I will try and help. When there, if you have problems get in touch and look out for me in the Cup Europe paddock. In fact all the paddock's are open to the Lotus public for touchy feely
I will be at the Classic Car show at the NEC Friday and Saturday and also the LDC Christmas party if you want a chat.
