'Wheelnuts' Classic Car Show 2013

Recommended Posts

Sunday 28th April 2013 - St Rose's School

The annual Classic Motor Show known as ‘Wheel Nuts’ is staged in the beautiful grounds of our school in the late Spring.  It has become a very popular event attracting large numbers of owners with their unique and magnificent vehicles as well as a large and appreciative crowd of admirers who, together, celebrate all that is excellent in motor transport down through the ages.

The event has raised a substantial amount of funds which has allowed the school to replace its aged minibuses with brand new vehicles with support from The Variety Club of Great Britain. This enables our wonderful students to continue being heavily and successfully involved in many forms of outdoors pursuits both locally and nationally.

Rain and high winds did not curb the enthusiasm of the organisers for our most recent event, ‘Wheel Nuts 2012.’ Despite the terrible weather we still managed to raise some funds for the school.

We continue to strive to improve the quality of the event and it is very encouraging to receive many letters of appreciation after the show from people who have taken part and who have clearly enjoyed being part of it.

Our 2013 ‘Wheel Nuts’ show is on Sunday 28th April, why not come along and join us?

An ex colleague of mine, who is now the head of St Rose's School, has offered us a place in their highly successful car show on April 28th. With the Coleford car show not being attended this year by the club perhaps this would make for a suitable meet?

I plan on attending and have the paperwork to get us a show stand.

That looks a good place to go to.

Wot! No Coleford...?

It's a shame isn't it but maybe somewhere like this will make a change for this year?

No, afraid not. As far as I know the Coleford event is on but Conway and Joan, who deserve our greatest thanks for their efforts on behalf of the LDC over the years, are unable to coordinate an LDC element this year.

Such a shame, especially as last year was such a wash out with all of that rain.

Unfortunately I had to call off a  planned attendance.

Next year maybe?

Cheers

John
