  1. Martin and Gill under the team name LOTUSPOWER will be competing.
  2. We are booked for this event. Really looking forward to it. We went back to Tenby last year in July to do some more exploring in this lovely region on our own. Fab few days.
  3. Martin and I are booked, staying at the Prince Llewelyn bed and breakfast, Aberffraw, on Angelsey
  4. To all who want to join the Drive Out and have afternoon tea - PLEASE make sure you have booked with me and paid for your tea on line. I need to let the restaurant know the final numbers by Saturday 15h October. No payment - no tea. See you at the Museum. Thanks Gill
  5. Just a reminder to all those wanting to join us for the Autumn Drive out on Saturday 22nd October. If you would like the afternoon tea you will need to register with me g.edwards@lotusdriversclub.org.uk and pay on line for your tea (Chris to post details soon). This is so that I can reserve the correct amount of afternoon teas at the restaurant. The closing date for numbers for this event is Saturday 15th October. Thanks to all who have show interest so far.
  6. Hi all, We heard today that the amount raised by our gate was £1,850. A bit lower than previous years but nevertheless an outstanding amount. Very well done to all who took part or helped in any way. The money is to be donated to ORCHID - mens cancer charity. THANKYOU. Gill and Martin
  7. A HUGE Thankyou to all the drivers, who tirelessly gave passenger rides in glorious sunshine at Bruntingthorpe yesterday. Also to those who mastered the strapping in and fastening of seat belts to ensure passengers rode in safety. Not forgetting the ladies who registered the passengers and dealt with tons of paperwork required by ASDA. We will let you know the amount raised as soon as we know it ourselves. Gill and Martin
  8. There is also a Vintage Vehicle and Classic Car Festival at Quorn Station on Sunday 15th May to which all Lotus drivers are welcome. There will be steam trains up and down the line all day with reduced priced tickets for our drivers. Anyone interested contact g.edwards@lotusdriversclub.org.uk. I already have several entries but do need to know numbers so I can book enough space for our cars.
  9. There is to be another festival at Quorn Station for classic cars and vintage vehicles. This year it will be held on Sunday 15th May. There will be a real ale tent with retro music and passing steam trains. Drivers of vehicles in the display will receive a reduced price ticket to ride on the trains between stations up and down the line. If you would like to bring your Lotus along to this event, then please let me know as soon as possible, so that I can book space for us in the station yard.   g.edwards@lotusdriversclub.org.uk
  10. Chris is correct. We do have a number of complimentary tickets to provide a static display of cars in a prime location on hard standing, and also for these cars to take part in a track session of 20 minutes on both Saturday and Sunday. The track sessions will be run to the ususal track day rules, but there will be no more than 30 cars on track and they will all be Lotus Drivers Club Members so we will all know each other and as such should respect each others cars and abilities. If you want to talk to Martin about this please dont hesitate to contact him by email.   Let us know anyway if you can take part in the event even if its only for one or other of the days because of course we want to put on the best display we can and we will take everyone into consideration. Contact Martin at m.edwards@lotusdriversclub.org.uk or ring to talk to him on his mobile 07973725980.
  11. In order to provide a static display and showcase Lotus cars on track the organisers have offered Lotus Drivers Club a number of complimentary passes for this event.  If you would like to be considered for one of these places please contact m.edwards@lotusdriversclub.org.uk   Preference will be given firstly to those who can commit to both days i.e. Saturday and Sunday and who will take their cars on track for a 20 minutes session each day. These sessions will be run under normal track day rules. If you would like further information then again please contact Martin by email. Places will be allocated on a first come basis.    Of course if you cannot commit to these conditions then you will be more than welcome to come along to the event, but you will not be able to park in the Lotus Drivers Club privileged area but would be able to walk to our club stand and take advantage of the club gazebos.
  12. We will be joined by our friends from Germany - Britta and Roland - they are very excited to be bringing their Lotus Elise to drive with us.
  13. We have our entry form filled out  - the trophy has been rescued from the summerhouse and is ready to go.
  14. Gill and Martin will be joining at Eye. Looking forward to a great day out The forecast is good. Taking my picnic blanket so we can eat fish and chips on the green!!
