  4. Don’t miss out on what is expected to be the biggest LDC Party of the year. On Saturday 14 December 2019, LDC will be heading to Warwickshire and the superb location of Ettington Chase. This beautiful country hotel and spa have offered us preferential rates for the meal and rooms for those wanting to stay over. As well as the traditional festive party activities of a three-course evening meal and disco, there will also be an opportunity to see what LDC have been up to during 2019. For those who took part this will be an opportunity to reminisce, for those that didn’t a chance to see exactly what LDC has to offer and hopefully tempt you to make the most of your membership and join us at more events in 2020. It wouldn’t be an LDC Christmas party without some form of entertainment from our esteemed chairman – but as to what form that will take only time will tell. Don’t worry if dancing the night away is not your thing, the adjoining bar area provides a quieter environment with comfy seating. The evening is guaranteed to offer something for everyone; so whether you’re a long standing member or just joined us you will be assured a warm welcome and a night of good food, good music but most important of all good company. So don’t miss out and join us for the LDC party of the year. Join us for our Christmas dinner celebration for £27.50 per person. Bookings close at midnight on 31 November. Book Now! Ettington Chase have agreed a special B&B rate for members of £65.00 per room per night (double) and £55.00 per room per night (single). Rooms are limited and must be booked before 14 September. To book call 01789 740 000.

  16. HI Everyone Just posting a picture from my last meeting at the Supercar Show at Houghton Tower last weekend it was for Derian House Children's Charity and was a good turn out. Thanks to all the owners that came along and bought tickets I will be doing this event again next year
  17. No that is true but you are past the Equator "The Midlands" 🙂 lol. Yes Colin has mentioned about a club meet in the area in 2020 so looking forward to doing that I know plenty or runs out and places to go in the area
  18. Thanks Chris and totally agree with what you are saying in fact I meet up with most of the Lotus Clubs in the area and its great the LDC continues to do this as many owners that have duel membership to the LDC and other Lotus Clubs. Colin has mentioned to me about adding in a L&C event to the calendar in 2020 and I am looking forward to showing you all some of the roads and places and scenery we have in the area, I have suggested stopping at The Fat Lamb as a meeting venue and the roads in the area are brilliant. With regards to Fish and Chips we have lots up here its a stable diet for many in Lancashire and Cumbria so that will not be a problem at all 🙂
  19. I wouldn't exactly class Warwickshire as the South Andy, 😉 but nonetheless well done on what you've achieved oop there so far - and request was made for there to be an official club trip to L&C next year at the AGM (duly noted by Colin, Chair). Watch this space then hopefully...
  20. Thank you Andy for all the work you do. As with all areas of the UK there are separate groups of Lotus owners and Clubs but we're lucky that the Lotus Drivers Club is trying to bring that together whilst still holding on to the value of a professional yet voluntary run car club. I think when looking at the Club's events calendar for 2020 there needs to be serious consideration as to the location of events to try and widen this even more. I'll soon be asking for suggestions on the Facebook page for a Fish and Chip run next year so get your thinking hat on.

  22. Hi Everyone I have had a lot of members in the last few meetings that have come up to me and said the Lotus Drivers Club is it based mainly down south? My answer is no there is a lot going on in the North of the UK there is less coverage in the North which is true than the south but we are working on it and trying our hardest, but it will take time and effort to do it and we do have a lot less AO's up in the North but its building up very slowly and hopefully it will continue. I just want to say a massive thanks to all the owners that have made the effort to come out and join us at meets Including owners from Yorkshire, North East, Cumbria, Cheshire, Manchester, Liverpool so thank you to you all I would post some photos up but I cant seem to be able to, hopefully see you soon Regards Andy LDCLC
