About This Club

Join us at one of our popular Midlands meetings. Our monthly meetings are open to all, whether you are a Lotus enthusiast, member of the club or just like going out and meeting friends. As well as regular monthly meetings, there are also other local events organised throughout the year by the Midlands groups.

  2. 14 December Meeting at The Stag and Midlands Area Organiser Required Thursday 14th December, 7:30pm at The Stag, Redhill, Stratford Upon Avon The Lotus Drivers Club December Midlands area meeting will be a meal, your choice from the excellent pub menu available here, to give a nod towards celebrating Christmas. If you could let me know by email that you intend to come, I would be grateful so I can prepare The Stag with expected numbers. Anyone is welcome and I look forward to seeing anyone who would like to join us. Thanks, Colin Smith: c.smith@lotusdriversclub.org.uk Midlands Area Organiser Required The Lotus Drivers Club would like a keen, young (less than 80 will be fine) enthusiast to take the helm of our Midlands Meeting at The Stag, Redhill, Stratford Upon Avon. The meeting is shared with Club Lotus and typically consists of having a drink, a chat and club announcements about upcoming events from both clubs. Generally there are around 20 Lotus Cars in the car park during the Summer months. The Club would like to invite someone enthusiastic to take over this meeting for the club and arrange some different events during the year. In 2017, the undoubted highlight was a talk by Julian Tomson on Designing the Elise. Other events could be different speakers, drive-outs to other locations for BBQ’s or Sunday Lunch, etc. The position of AO was previously held by Arthur Clarke and currently by Colin Smith. The role is not an onerous or formal one and all meetings are a very casual and a pleasant affair. Enthusiasm is the only qualification required. Please email Colin Smith at c.smith@lotusdriversclub.org.uk to find out more or to discuss the position in more detail.

The club ticket option will then be visible for them to select and purchase their tickets. Please could you share the discount code and instructions above with your members when promoting the Scramble. This not only enables them to purchase advance discounted tickets but allows us to see how many club vehicles to expect when planning the space for your club parking display area. Please note, club tickets sales close at midnight Monday 1st January 2018 and are subject to availability. Clubs attending with 10 vehicles or more may be allocated their own club parking display area. In the event that this number is not achieved and we are unable to provide a display parking area we will advise affected clubs after the ticket cut-off date of 1st January 2018. Clubs are welcome to use flags and gazebos to promote themselves within their club display area but will need to make sure that they have their own insurance to cover any damage caused should any of these items fall or blow over. If you wish to do this, we will require a copy of your insurance and a risk assessment. We appreciate the Lotus Drivers Club supporting this event again and hope that your club members have an enjoyable day here.
